I. Job Summary
Under direct supervision, assists with basic truck shop cleaning and maintenance-related duties.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Responsible for inventory control. Work with vendors/suppliers, ordering heavy truck parts. Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, inventory tracking, time, and attendance etc. Establishes inventory minimums and maximums for inventory. Identifies overstocked, low usage, and obsolete inventory. Files warranty claims, arranges returns and core tracking. Responsible for monitoring special order parts to ensure the parts are used within two weeks, maintains and distributes department related information daily as required. Communicates with supervisors and managers about departmental needs. Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary. Communicates with vendors about service issues as needed. Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
